Enterprise Europe Network Midlands invites you to participate in an international brokerage event devoted to hydrogen fuel cells taking place at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, UK on March 20th 2013.

The brokerage event has been designed to complement the 2 day conference “Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2013 – from Materials Research to Ramping up Production” offering conference delegates the opportunity to attend pre-arranged meetings with potential partners, customers and suppliers throughout the afternoon. Like in previous years it is envisaged that meeting sessions will help promote international commercial and technological collaboration in the increasingly commercial hydrogen fuel cell sector.

Clients of the Enterprise Europe Network who participate in the brokerage event will receive FREE registration to the conference (normally £150 plus VAT for 1 day or £250 ex. VAT for 2 days).

The focus of this unique event will be to promote commercial and technological collaboration between a range of industrial and research organisations coming from across Europe.
Main topics:

    * Materials
    * Hydrogen Production
    * Fuel Cell Manufacturing
    * Novel fuel cell concepts
    * H2FCs for transport
    * H2FCs for static and portable applications
    * Strategies and Funding
    * H2FC safety and socio-economics

Due to high efficiencies, zero emissions and easy conversions, Hydrogen Fuel Cells are increasingly perceived as important components in a low carbon economy.

The brokerage event will offer you the opportunity to:

    * promote your technology and expertise to a range of UK and international organisations
    * gain access to the latest developments taking place in Europe and beyond
    * develop partnerships leading to technological and commercial collaboration
    * appreciate developments in the sector and understand better the role of your company

Key considerations for the conference are:

The emergence of Fuel Cell Hydrogen Vehicles by 2015 (FCHVs) from many global manufacturers (Nissan, Mazda, Honda).   The way in which these fleets are rolled out will have a strong influence on the public perception of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle  technology and on the future prospect for its commercial success.

At the same time, refuelling infrastructure expansion needs to be addressed to ensure that sufficient hydrogen dispensers are in position in the UK, Germany, Scandinavia etc  as consumers buy into the new efficient, clean technology.  Linkages between the key companies Air Products, Linde and Air Liquide will be outlined on the first day of the conference.

Stationary fuel cell installations in buildings is the second most important market in which larger numbers of H2FC generators will be demonstrated by 2015, especially in domestic houses where distributed generation by local CHP units will be described.

Portable power for phone-chargers, leisure activities and back-up devices is the third area to be considered on the opening day of the conference.

The second day of the conference emphasises the novel fuel cell and hydrogen concepts which are progressing internationally.  The objective is to look forward to the 2020 vision programme running from 2014 to 2020 in the EU, comparing this to comparable long-term actions in the USA, China, Korea and Japan.
